Sites Failed to Upgrade due to Quick Deploy Items List.

Sites failed to upgrade when you trying to run the upgrade-SpcontentDatabase against the contentDB either after CU upgrade or Upgrade from 2007 to 2010 etc.

In the upgrade log you will see this error.

​Solution:

Go to the site collection > site settings> Under the Site Collection Administration > Site collection features

Or direct URL: http://sitecolelctionName/_layouts/ManageFeatures.aspx?Scope=Site

On this page deactivate this Feature: “SharePoint Server Publishing Infrastructure

Now Run the Blow mentioned Script to Delete the Quick Deploy Items List (Don’t worry about deletion, this will back once you Acitvate the Feature Again)

Open the Sharepoint Management Shell

$webSite = Get-SPWeb https://SiteCollection URl
$List=$webSite.Lists[“Quick Deploy Items”]
$List.AllowDeletion=$True
$List.update()
$List.delete()

Now Acitvate the “SharePoint Server Publishing Infrastructure” feature, it will be sucessfully activated.

Now run the upgrade Command and it will completed sucessfully.
